Charles Maddocks is a passionate storyteller, working primarily with the medium of film.
As a cinematographer, he instinctively leans into darker scripts as he enjoys working with a moody visual style, utilising hard lighting, contrast, and saturation in his work. However, above all, he is most passionate about using the right approach and tools to tell the story, whether that be soft daylight, hard moonlight, or a subtle recipe of various traditional approaches, to create the film’s own unique feeling.
