ABOUT
Charles Maddocks is a passionate storyteller, working primarily within the medium of film, as a cinematographer.
He instinctively leans into darker scripts as he enjoys working with a moody visual style, utilising hard lighting, heavy contrast, and saturated colour in his work. However, above all, he is most passionate about using the right tools and approach that are true to the story, whether that be soft daylight, hard moonlight, or a subtle recipe of various traditional approaches, to create the film’s own unique visual feeling.
He is currently studying an MFA in Cinematography at the National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield and is due to graduate in 2028.
